Petra: A Place to Rest; A Path to Stability
When families in our Woven Empowerment program face the crisis of homelessness, Petra provides a safe place to land. Petra is our emergency housing program designed to give families not only a roof over their heads, but also the tools, relationships, and hope needed for long-term stability.
Through Petra, families receive the benefit of wrap-around case management services that walk with them every step of the way. While in Petra our Family Support Specialist collaborates with the family and other available resources to walk out a plan together for the family to obtain stable housing.
But Petra is more than emergency shelter. Families share in weekly community dinners and classes, finding encouragement, learning new skills, and building friendships that remind them they are not alone. They become part of a community that believes each person matters and that stability grows stronger when we walk together.
Our goal is simple: that every family who enters Petra will leave not just housed, but connected, supported, and on a path toward a brighter future.

In the past Just operated Petra House, our own facility. As of Spring 2025 we are now operating Petra, which is a hotel based program.
